NICHOLASVILLE MAN RECEIVES TAU SIGMA SCHOLARSHIP AT EKU

RICHMOND, Ky. – Alan Joseph Chandler, Nicholasville, a senior middle grades education major at Eastern Kentucky University, has received a $1,000 scholarship from the national Tau Sigma Honor Society.

Chandler is the founding president of the EKU chapter of Tau Sigma, an academic honor society designed to recognize and promote the academic excellence and involvement of transfer students. Students earning a GPA of 3.5 or higher in their first semester are invited to join.

Chandler, a 2006 graduate of East Jessamine High School, transferred to Eastern from Bluegrass Community and Technical College in 2012.
