Transfer students can receive financial aid from EKU in addition to their own unique scholarship offerings. In fact, transferring from a two-year institution usually opens federal funding for more credit hours than were previously available.
No matter their financial situation, every student should complete the FAFSA while using EKU’s school code: 001963
The sooner you complete the FAFSA, the better your chances of receiving the most aid. Don’t wait! Contact our Financial Aid office for more information.

Out of State Tuition
Transfer students from other states can qualify for a reduced tuition rate. This opportunity creates a $5,150 per semester tuition rate for non-Kentucky residents.*
*The out of state rate reflects $4,612 in financial aid awards to all out of state students admitted to the University to reduce the cost to $5,250.
While the Transfer Merit Scholarships are only available to Kentucky residents, the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship may be awarded to qualifying students from any US state or territory.
The international tuition rate is $9,699 per semester. Non-US residents who transfer from another stateside college or university may also receive the previous $4,612 tuition reduction for a final cost of $5,250 per semester.**
**Nationally sponsored students are not eligible for reduced tuition.
