Alexis Catron-Williams: Scholarship Recipient
National Tau Sigma Scholarship
Alexis Catron-Williams, a senior majoring in Accounting, with a concentration in Management was recently awarded a $1,000 scholarship by the National Tau Sigma Honor Society for Transfer Students. Lexy will graduate from Eastern Kentucky University at the end of the Spring semester.
Alexis transferred to EKU in the Fall of 2016 from Elizabethtown Community and Technical College. She was invited to join Tau Sigma in the Spring of 2017 after completing fifteen hours her first semester at EKU with 3.6 GPA. Alexis has been very active in Tau Sigma, she was elected treasurer for Tau Sigma and has served in that capacity admirably. She has attended the last two National Tau Sigma Leadership Conferences in Orlando and Chicago and co-presented with former president Ashleigh Fletcher at the Chicago conference.
In addition to her service to Tau Sigma, she is the Vice President of the EKU chapter of ODK National Leadership Society. She also serves as the Public Relations Officer of the EKU campus’ accounting society. Lexy has begun her final semester and is serving in an internship with Platinum Roofing, located here in Richmond. She plans to pursue a master’s degree in the fall from the University of Kentucky.
