From the Desk of Tanlee Wasson

Dr. Tanlee Wasson smiling from her desk while holding a pen. As a native eastern Kentuckian and first-generation college student, I fully understand the ways higher education transforms individuals and families. I also recognize the challenges our students from central and eastern Kentucky face when charting their education pathway, such as affordability, access to relevant degree programs, and the flexibility needed for work and family. KCTCS opened the door and as one of Kentucky's top transfer destinations, EKU is committed to helping you overcome all of those challenges and complete a degree that supports your goals and helps you get to where you want to be.

We offer a wide range of degree programs that translate easily from KCTCS to EKU. As an EKU graduate you can join our alumni successfully working to power Kentucky communities as educators, social workers, police officers, occupational therapists, nurses, and business leaders. We are finding innovative ways to make those programs more affordable with initiatives like BookSmart. Starting in Fall 2021, no EKU undergraduate will pay for textbooks or other required course materials. We will even ship the books to you at no cost so that you are prepared on the first day of class no matter where you are. Our EKU Advantage program also includes no application fees, test-free admissions, and additional scholarship opportunities.

I know you will find the opportunity you are looking for at EKU. Talk to one of our transfer counselors or one of the many EKU alumni serving students as staff and faculty at KCTCS. They can tell you how the Eastern experience changed their lives and help you find the resources you need to become a colonel!

EKU is waiting for you on campus or online! Find your opportunity at Eastern Kentucky University.
